Summer Clubs Now Forming!

The California Riding Club aims to recreate the joy of playing outdoors, much like children did in the past. We encourage our club members to come early to explore the ranch and enjoy the freedom of outdoor play. In our group riding lessons, we emphasize the importance of belonging to our club. As club members, riders learn together, share experiences, and build lasting bonds with both their horse partners and fellow riders. We understand that learning to ride involves facing challenges and setbacks, but we believe that these moments are opportunities for growth. Our lessons encourage riders to develop resilience by pushing through difficulties, learning from mistakes, and persisting in the face of obstacles. By fostering resilience in our riders, we not only help them become better equestrians but also equip them with valuable life skills that they can carry beyond the arena.

UNCAMP provides a dynamic and engaging alternative for kids who prefer to avoid weekly summer camps and parents seeking to minimize screen time, all set within the immersive environment of a working horse ranch.

Thank you El Granada Elementary School PTO for such a fun day at the 51st Arts & Science Week!

It was great to introduce grades 3 - 5 to pool noodle ponies! You are cordially invited to come meet our ponies durning one of our free groom and greet sessions! Looking forward to seeing you at the ranch!

Meet Xena, our newest rescue!

Xena is a 20-something Appaloosa who has found herself at the bottom of the pecking order in her herd. She has not been getting enough to eat because the other horses are taking her food. In January, 2024, The California Riding Club stepped in and started providing daily nutritious lunches. In February, 2024, Xena was moved to a different location where she had her own space and no longer had to compete for food. In March, 2024, our Riding Program Director, started riding Xena to rebuild muscle. In April 2024, Xena entered the riding program and is currently teaching kids to walk & trot. Xena is also working as a 4-H horse where she teaches horsemanship and riding.

Our mission is to educate and empower future equestrians by fostering horsemanship, teamwork, and environmental conservation practices.
