Our mission is to empower every child by unlocking their potential through STEM exploration, teamwork, and horsemanship, all within a diverse, inclusive community.

Groom & Greet

It’s like a spa day… but you’re the one doing all the work.

Ready to meet some horses, learn some fun facts, and maybe get sneezed on by a pony? Welcome to Groom & Greet, our most hands-on (and mildly hairy) ranch experience.

Come explore Deer Ranch, home to horses with big personalities, messy manes, and some seriously heart-melting backstories:

💪 Xena – Our brave rescue with a heart of gold and a tendency to stand directly in front of the hay pile.

🎭 Echo – A retired show-ring superstar who lives for attention and will pose for photos if bribed with carrots.

👑 Sunny – The grandson of horse royalty who chose the ranch life over the spotlight (and we’re so glad he did).

During your one-hour visit, you’ll tour the ranch, hear horse tales straight from the source (well… kinda), and grab a brush for our favorite activity: grooming. It's soothing, bonding, and you will leave covered in hair. But hey, the horses will look fabulous.

This is your chance to slow down, connect with nature, and give a pony the glow-up of a lifetime. Did we mention Groom & Greet is Free?

Move-a-Thon Mayhem at Farallone View!

California Riding Club sponsored the Move-a-Thon with a donation and a full-blown hobby horse obstacle course-pool noodle jumps, fancy footwork, and 150+ kids laughing their way across the playground.

"Xena is my spotted horse. She's fast, fierce, and made of PVC pipe and a pool noodle. Do not challenge her to a race unless you’re okay with losing."-Farallone View Student, undefeated in playground gallops

Pool Noodle Ponies & Horse Science: El Granada’s Arts & Science Day Was a Galloping Success

At El Granada Elementary’s 52nd Annual Arts & Science Day, 75 kids cranked their creativity to full blast. Armed with hot glue guns, PVC pipe, fresh socks, pool noodles, felt, and an alarming number of googly eyes, they built hobby horses that were equal parts engineering marvel and arts-and-crafts rodeo. Each student made serious design decisions—mane length, ear shape, eye placement, overall pony vibe—because when you’re building your steed from scratch, the aesthetic matters. And yes, in true California Riding Club fashion, they also learned about Equine Uveitis. Because what says “science day” better than crafting a pool noodle pony and discussing horse eyeballs?

"Echo is made of PVC pipe, felt, and dreams." - Student who may be applying to art school early

Welcome to Saddle & STEM Summer Camp, where kids get to ride horses, build stuff, launch things (safely… mostly), and generally have the kind of summer that ends in muddy shoes and wild stories.

Choose your own adventure:

🐎 Horse Camp – Traditional horsemanship with a side of STEM. Think saddles, science, and the occasional NERF battle.

🛠️ Maker Camp – Power tools, pony sightings, and projects that may or may not involve duct tape and pool noodles.

We’ve got flexible schedules thanks to our UnCamp drop-in days (because your summer calendar is already a circus) and payment plans that won’t make your wallet cry.

So go ahead. Sign ‘em up. Then sit back and enjoy your coffee while they gallop, glue, and giggle their way through summer.
