Our mission is to empower every child by unlocking their potential through STEM exploration, teamwork, and horsemanship, all within a diverse, inclusive community.

Groom & Greet

It’s like a spa day… but you’re the one doing all the work.

Welcome to Groom & Greet for a hands-on ranch experience. You’ll tour Beacon Ranch, home to our herd of horses, each with a unique story.

During your one-hour visit, you’ll hear tales (some true, all dramatic), grab a grooming brush, and give a pony the makeover of their dreams. It’s wholesome, therapeutic, and guaranteed to leave you covered in horse glitter (aka hair). And the best part? It’s totally free. Come for the bonding, stay for the brushing—and don’t wear black.

All Summered Out?

Send your child to Ranch Engineering or Pony Camp for the day

Because your kid has hit their screen time limit for the decade and it's only Tuesday. Our one-day drop-in Saddle & STEM camp is here to save the day (and your sanity). Send them to the ranch where they can trade blue light for barn light, and Roblox for real-life horse poop. It's the perfect option for when you need a break—but don’t feel like negotiating with a 9-year-old about putting down the iPad again.

Each UnCamp day is packed with horseback riding, wild STEM builds, and just enough dirt to remind kids that nature is still a thing. Whether they’re grooming a pony, building a Nerf-powered contraption, or figuring out which end of the hammer to use, they’ll be too busy having a blast to even think about charging a device. One day of peace for you. One unplugged adventure for them. Everyone wins.

We have two pathways:

  • Ranch Engineering, where kids can learn about circuits, simple machines and Nerf/Laser Tag related engineering projects. Pick one day or multiple days the weeks of: July 21 - July 25, 2025 or August 11 - August 21, 2025.

  • Pony Camp, where kids can spend the day with the horses learning to groom, lead, and ride. Pick one day or multiple days in the weeks of: July 14 - July 18, 2025 or July 28 - Aug. 1, 2025.

Move-a-Thon Mayhem at Farallone View!

California Riding Club sponsored the Move-a-Thon with a donation and a full-blown hobby horse obstacle course-pool noodle jumps, fancy footwork, and 150+ kids laughing their way across the playground.

"Xena is my spotted horse. She's fast, fierce, and made of PVC pipe and a pool noodle. Do not challenge her to a race unless you’re okay with losing."-Farallone View Student, undefeated in playground gallops

Pool Noodle Ponies & Horse Science: El Granada’s Arts & Science Day Was a Galloping Success

At El Granada Elementary’s 52nd Annual Arts & Science Day, 75 kids cranked their creativity to full blast. Armed with hot glue guns, PVC pipe, fresh socks, pool noodles, felt, and an alarming number of googly eyes, they built hobby horses that were equal parts engineering marvel and arts-and-crafts rodeo. Each student made serious design decisions—mane length, ear shape, eye placement, overall pony vibe—because when you’re building your steed from scratch, the aesthetic matters. And yes, in true California Riding Club fashion, they also learned about Equine Uveitis. Because what says “science day” better than crafting a pool noodle pony and discussing horse eyeballs?

"Echo is made of PVC pipe, felt, and dreams." - Student who may be applying to art school early
