CRC Board

Nathan is the president of the California Riding Club. An avid outdoorsman, Nathan enjoys trail rides with his family, golfing at the Half Moon Bay Golf Links, and hiking with his Dalmatian, Ginger. During the day, Nathan works in biotech operations where he has helped develop two cancer drugs and a sickle-cell anemia therapy. Nathan is passionate about encouraging children of all ages and socio-ecomic backgrounds to participate youth horse programs on the San Mateo County coastside.

Rose has a proven track record as a controller for various private schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. Rose brings a substantial depth of financial acumen to the California Riding Club. Rose also has a background in human resources management to complement her financial expertise.

With years of experience as a horse show parent, Christy plays a crucial role in helping our riders achieve their show goals by using her understanding of the challenges young participants may encounter on their journey to success. Christy also has connections to many of the top technology companies in the Bay Area.

Susan is an instructor at the California Riding Club. She has vast experience in horseback riding, spanning 10 years. Susan’s objective is to help our riders achieve their show goals and feel comfortable on and around the horses.

Sarah boasts an impressive background in the nonprofit sector. Alongside her tenure as a trustee on multiple nonprofit boards, she has held the role of Sports Program Director at the Boys and Girls Club of the Coastside. With a wealth of experience in education, her notable achievements encompass the successful launch of a STEM/makerspace initiative at Immaculate Heart of Mary School, as well as the establishment of Miss Maker, a STEM focused nonprofit catering to over 600 children, predominantly from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Sara

Raised on a Breeding & Training farm, Sara is a World Champion Equitation Rider and Youth Yearling Handler, with a Reserve World Champion title in Trail Pleasure (Western Gaited). After graduating in 2007 with a BS in Animal Science (Equine Concentration) from MTSU, she directed the Riding Program and managed the facility at MVA in Florida from 2008 to 2019. She established a USPC Riding Center and coached IEA Hunters, with students competing in prestigious events like AEC, WEF, Tryon, USDF Regional Championships, and HITS. Certified in bodywork (2017/2020), she relocated to California in 2019 for her husband's career.
