Riding Club is much more than a weekly riding lesson. Designed for children ages seven and older, the program combines mounted instruction, groundwork, horse care, hands-on learning, barn responsibility, and the kind of friendships that form when children work toward something meaningful together.
Riders learn to become capable, thoughtful partners for their horses—not simply passengers in the saddle.
What happens at Riding Club?
Every meeting is different, but a typical day may include:
Grooming, haltering, leading, and tacking
Mounted instruction and arena challenges
Groundwork and understanding horse behavior
Horse anatomy, health, and equipment
Ranch-inspired Saddle & STEM projects
Feeding, stall care, and other barn chores
The Badge Passport journey
Every rider receives a Badge Passport that makes progress visible and meaningful:
Level 1A: Ground School — Safe horse handling, haltering, leading, tying, and horse behavior
Level 1B: Horsemanship — Grooming, anatomy, tack knowledge, bridling, saddling, and horse care
Level 1C: Walk Rider — Mounting, balanced position, steering, stopping, and independent riding at the walk
Level 1D: Rising Rider — Developing an independent trot through circles, transitions, sitting trot, half-seat, and posting
Badges are awarded when riders demonstrate skills safely and consistently, not simply for attendance. Children advance at their own pace, without pressure or comparison.

Pricing & Billing:
$40.00 Registration Fee (nonrefundable) is due today to reserve your spot.
Going forward, the cost is $255 per month. Families are invoiced directly on the 1st of each month, beginning in September.
Please note: the $40 registration fee does not cover lessons. It simply secures your place in this extremely limited group.
Scholarship Policy:
Scholarships are available, but we require applicants to complete The HERD (non-riding program) first before being considered for Hoof Beats Horsemanship. This ensures every child starts with a strong foundation in horse care, safety, and teamwork.
