This 11-week session includes:
Time with horses — safety, haltering, leading, grooming, general horsemanship and horse care.
Fun, ranch-related STEM projects
Teamwork and social-emotional learning activities
A supportive group where kids make friends over shared interests

This design celebrates what we teach every week at California Riding Club: every kid, every horse, and every family belongs here. No matter your background, experience, or ability — there’s a place for you in the herd.
The HERD gives kids almost all of the proven curriculum we teach at our riding levels — but with less pressure and without the financial burden of weekly riding lessons.
And here’s the best part: finishing the Herd opens the door to more riding opportunities, and we’ll talk with families about what support may be available.
Boots and helmets provided. No riding is included.
