2025 Horse Camp

$550.00

We took your classic pony camp—horseback riding, nature walks, fresh air—and gave it an upgrade. In addition to riding, campers get hands-on with grooming (a.k.a. equine spa services), groundwork (hello, horse whisperer in training), obstacle courses, and all-out ranch adventures that include building, tinkering, and engineering.

In between saddle time and carrot bribes, kids dive into ranch-inspired STEM projects: circuits that could (hypothetically) power a hay-delivery robot, simple machines that lift water buckets like magic, and arts & crafts that sometimes involve hammers.

Along the way, they’ll build real confidence, sharpen problem-solving skills, and maybe develop a questionable obsession with hoof picks.

No glittery unicorns. No sad pony rides in dusty circles. Just real horse partnership, slightly chaotic invention sessions, a few dusty high-fives, and memories that smell faintly of carrots.

Sample Schedule

  • Morning: Learn to catch, halter, lead, groom, saddle & ride with the California Riding Club’s proven riding curriculum.

  • Afternoon: Ranch-related STEM projects in the Miss Maker Makerspace. Think circuits, composting, pulleys and levers. Nature walks. Outdoor, ranch adventures.

  • Ages: 5+

  • Dates: June 9 - June 13, 2025 (sold out); June 23 - June 27, 2025; July 14 - July 18, 2025; July 28 - August 1, 2025

  • Where: 1491 Sunshine Valley Road, Moss Beach, CA
